As soon as I announced my pregnancy, everybody’s attitude to me changed

As soon as I announced my pregnancy, everybody’s attitude to me changed. I didn’t get a bonus, whereas I normally did, my appraisal was assigned a lower outcome whereas normally I’d get ‘outstanding ‘, when I challenged these things, I was told, ‘it wasn’t a reflection on my ability’, but rather, ‘just one of those things’! During my maternity leave I was asked to come back for a meeting, the purpose of which was purely to question if I was still coming back now I was a mother. Then, once back from leave, people wouldn’t talk to me as I had maternity leave! I then found out while I was off people had been complaining about me taking maternity leave, how it let the company down. Needless to say, I left and found another job.
