I worked at a worldwide company for nearly 3 years. I found out I was pregnant then a few weeks down the line I miscarried. A week or two later I discovered I was ‘still’ pregnant. I was carrying twins and only the first child had died. We then discovered the second child was in my Fallopian tube and would need to have emergency surgery that day as my tube had ruptured causing life threatening internal bleeding. I had messaged my boss before heading to theatre to let him know I was having emergency surgery and I would be off for a couple of weeks. When he received the message he shouted in front of all my colleagues ‘f****** little slut’ and then said I wouldn’t be welcome back to work as I wouldn’t be fit to do my job if I had been through surgery.
