I had a good case for discrimination but in the end couldn’t be bothered.

I joined my job 4months pregnant and that made me extremely unpopular among all the (female) bosses, as they thought I was being deceitful I imagine.

As it happened, not that they’d asked, I was only a few weeks pregnant when I got interviewed for the job, and I had personal reasons for not telling them till I started work (and I told them on the first day.)

My company was female dominated, with my head of dept working 4 days a week, and my female CEO working 4 days a week too (even though both her children were at boarding school).

It took me a full year to negotiate 4 days a week for myself.

Then when I came back I was bullied for not being one of the gang of 20-something’s who went out drinking all the time, or being one of the bosses who worked on their laptops till 1am every night.

They then gave me an ultimatum on my performance, against totally unfair criteria. I had a good case for discrimination but in the end couldn’t be bothered.

I’m glad they forced me out really, as it was a horrific time working there, I’m just sorry they’ve gotten away with it.
