I wasn’t allowed to edit my hours because it’s not fair on everyone else

I work in the sales industry and it’s probably 90% male dominated and I’m fairly young compared to who I work with. But after my second child I was told, In not so many words, I wasn’t allowed to edit my hours because it’s not fair on everyone else.

I’ve been on maternity for 4 months and only received 6 weeks pay at 90% however relying heavily on commission I’ve lost nearly a tenth of my wage by being on maternity. How an earth is this fair for women who want to be a mum but also wants a full time job?
