I was made redundant when approx five months pregnant, two weeks short of the legal cut off. I was a Board Director and had to resort to a lawyer to be paid what was legally mine. I went for constructive dismissal as I was not given any real work to do after returning from my previous maternity leave. I would have pursued sexual discrimination as I was effectively made unemployable having been made redundant so late in my pregnancy. Lawyer advised me not to pursue this as the stress may well have affected my pregnancy.
