They were trying to get rid of me because I’d dared to start a family.

I returned to work part time after my first maternity leave. I was excluded from meetings and always the last to know what was happening. My role was dumbed down and my pay was significantly less than what it should have been for the hours I was working. Felt like I was being treated like an inferior colleague.
Then I fell pregnant again. When they appointed someone to cover my part time hours for the time I’d be on maternity leave, they decided to appoint someone full time and permanent. This basically meant I had no job to return to. I did return to work, but to very difficult conditions. Battled through but still feel that they were trying to get rid of me because I’d dared to start a family.
