At this time I’m pursuing a tribunal claim representing myself as I cannot afford a solicitor

I worked until 3 weeks before my due date. I had no time off sick & had been put under increasing pressure throughout my pregnancy. I was stressed. 2 days before I left I was told of financial difficulties & that cost saving measures including redundancies were being explored. My first week off the emails started from my employer. On the run up to being made redundant whilst on maternity leave, in the space of 4 months, they had communicated with me 16 times. This included demanding a face to face meeting when my daughter was just 4 weeks old & giving me just 3 days to respond to them. My partner had returned to work which is abroad & I was alone. They completely harassed me at what was supposed to be a happy & special time, then made me redundant claiming cost savings… I was on statutory maternity benefit only & already only worked 4 days per week. I was also the only person they made compulsory redundant & they have subsequently advertised for several well salaried vacancies. At this time I’m pursuing a tribunal claim representing myself as I cannot afford a solicitor. I’m planning a wedding for December & my partner is working away whilst I look after our 6 month old daughter. I could do without the stress, I don’t sleep, not because my daughter wakes but because what they’ve done has consumed me. It’s how much time they took from me in my early days as a new mum & I will not back down… I’m certain they’re counting on it. My confidence is shattered. I can’t let it go.
