Mental Health Support At Work

We know from our own research that 53% of returning mums link episodes of depression with poor treatment at work, while 30% of mothers who return to work after maternity leave encounter a mental health issue. Add to this the mental and emotional strain of an employment tribunal, and it’s easy to understand how you might need support for your mental health.

While we would like to be able to support mums in this area, we’re not yet qualified or funded to do so. The advisers that staff our advice lines are only able to provide support on employment rights, and not mental health. If you are concerned about your own mental health or that of a mum you know, then you can contact your GP, midwife or health visitor for advice or call one of these fantastic organisations and speak to a qualified advisor:
