How our legal referrals work

Pregnant Then Screwed works with the employment law team at Primas Law, led by Danielle Ayres, who can offer up to one hour of free legal advice for people referred via our Advice Line.

If you feel you are being or have been discriminated against, here’s what you should do:

▪️ Call the Pregnant Then Screwed Helpline on 0300 222 5799. You’ll then speak to one of our Volunteer HR advisors. Please note that our volunteers are not solicitors and are not able to provide legal advice, however they are qualified to deal with most queries. If they believe that you need legal advice, they will make a legal referral for you.
▪️ You will usually receive a call from Primas Law within 1-3 working day. This will be to arrange an appointment with a solicitor at a time that suits.
▪️ Your consultation will usually take place within 3-4 working days, but may take longer depending on demand for the service.

What happens on the calls?

Your appointment is completely confidential, so you can ask anything. The average call takes about 20 minutes but you can have up to an hour of free advice from Primas Law. If you decide that you want to proceed with a case against your employer, there is no obligation to instruct Primas Law as your solicitor. You can use whichever solicitor you want.

If you decide to proceed with Primas Law, then this will be charged for and the costs will be explained in full before proceeding. Many callers simply need a second opinion or to know how to handle their situation at work.  If a lawyer is instructed then this has nothing to do with Pregnant Then Screwed.
