Celia Venables
Pregnant Then Screwed was Celia’s first phone call five years ago when she returned from her first maternity leave to a car crash of support. The plight to drive an end to the discrimination of mums in the workplace for simply having kids has been with her ever since.
With 15 years of PR and brand communications experience, Celia has led the PR for global brands, start-ups, charities and everything in between. Working across various sectors she has led the PR for organisations including eHarmony, MOO, Hoop, Global Black Maternal Health, Glomama, Flex Appeal and Pregnant Then Screwed.
Celia is passionate about helping organisations and people to tell their story with impact and to drive change. She co-led the Pregnant Then Screwed team to win Communications Team of the year, has been awarded the power part timer award from Timewise, and has several award winning PR campaigns under her belt.
As a self-employed mum of two, the injustice and the battles that women face at work for simply becoming mums brings her to this campaign and mission.
