Pregnant Then Screwed WhatsApp Community Guidelines

Pregnant Then Screwed uses WhatsApp community groups for volunteers and some service user groups. The groups have been created to offer a way for people to connect with each other, ask questions and receive peer support. PTS staff will also use the group to share relevant updates and opportunities.

To ensure a positive and productive environment for everyone, we kindly ask that all members of our WhatsApp community groups adhere to the following guidelines:

Respect and kindness
Treat all members with respect and kindness. Our community thrives on empathy, and we value diverse perspectives. Refrain from using offensive language, making personal attacks, or engaging in disrespectful behaviour.

Stay on topic
There are groups for each service as well as a social and general peer support group. Please keep your discussions and questions specific, and relevant, to the group.

Confidentiality and data protection
We deal with sensitive issues. Protect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals by not sharing personal details, case specifics, or any identifying information in Whatsapp messages. Please aware of and follow our Privacy Policy while using the WhatsApp group.

Contact consent
By joining the PTS Volunteer WhatsApp Community or PTS Community Group you are agreeing to allow PTS to contact you via WhatsApp and for other volunteers/service users to message you via the group. Groups members are not permitted to contact other group members privately and outside of the WhatsApp group, unless explicit consent has been given by both parties.

Feedback
If you have feedback about the group or another member’s conduct, please share this with the staff team via email: [email protected]. Please do not share feedback for PTS or other members in the group chats.

No promotions or solicitations
Sharing information or events that may be of interest to other volunteers is permitted, however this group is not a platform for self-promotion, advertising, or soliciting services. PTS staff reserve the right to remove a post if it feels inappropriate to the purpose of the group.

No discrimination or harassment
We are committed to creating a safe space that is free from discrimination, harassment, or any form of bias. Any behaviour that marginalises or harms others will not be tolerated.

Use of media
Please only share media (articles, videos, documents) directly related to the group’s purpose and discussions. Include context when sharing media.

Moderation
The Support Services staff team are group administrators, and are here to ensure these guidelines are followed. A staff member will oversee all WhatsApp groups and discussions during core working hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) but please note that they may not see messages straight away. In case of any concerns or issues, feel free to reach out to them via direct message or email [email protected].

Requests to Join
Requests to join individual topic-based groups will be reviewed by the Support Services team. The team will only decline requests if the group is no longer active or is on hold, or if it is not relevant to that volunteer or service user.

By participating in the volunteer WhatsApp groups, you are agreeing to uphold these guidelines. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in a warning, temporary removal, or permanent removal from the group, depending on the severity of the violation.

Volunteers may wish to remain in the WhatsApp group when their volunteering at PTS comes to an end. This is fine, however PTS reserves the right to remove former volunteers from the group if this is in the best interests of the charity.
