Rebecca Firth
Rebecca Firth is Executive Director of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT), a global organisation that mobilises communities to create maps used for humanitarian response and sustainable development. Her work focuses on building large, collaborative communities around open data and technology, enabling people around the world to map their own communities and influence decisions that affect their lives, and so far this movement has mapped an area home to one billion people previously missing from the world map.
Rebecca has spent her career bringing together diverse groups – from grassroots volunteers to governments and major philanthropic partners – to solve complex challenges through collective action. She is passionate about creating communities where people feel empowered to contribute, share knowledge, and drive meaningful change.
Rebecca brings experience in community-driven movements and scaling networks of people working together for social impact. She lives in London with her family.
