Our support services are now back open after the Summer Break

Following a well earned break for our volunteers we are delighted to let you know that our support services are now back open.

Our volunteers are working their socks off to help as many people as possible but please note it may take a little longer than usual to get through to a volunteer.

Please remember to check the opening times below before calling for HR advice and keep scrolling to find out more about other support services our team of volunteers offer including benefits advice, mental health support, mentoring, coaching and an email HR advice service.

The Email Advice Service

Please note that, due to demand, we are not able to accept new email advice requests at the moment and have temporarily closed the form to allow time for our volunteers to respond to current requests.

Thank you for understanding, our advice request form will be back online as soon as possible.

We listened to your feedback and created an email advice service which offers everything that our HR Advice Line does but through email rather than over the phone.

Our email advice service is run completely by volunteers who are trained HR professionals. Demand for advice is very high, so we ask that you check our online advice resources first before submitting your enquiry. We aim to respond to all advice requests within 10 working days however there may be occasions when the wait time is longer.

The Benefits Advisory Service

Following an increase in requests for help with benefits we have launched a brand new Benefits Advisory Service.

Using the link below you can book a 15 minute appointment with Kirsty to get a better understanding of benefits you may be entitled to and how to access them.

As this is a new service slots may book up fast but we will release new ones every week so keep checking back.

The Mentor scheme

Due to demand, applications for mentor support are currently paused until September, please check this page for updates on when we are open to new applications.

Our Tribunal Mentor Programme is open to women who have experienced discrimination and are taking their employer to tribunal. Our dedicated team of volunteer mentors are there to support you through the practical and emotional elements of taking an employer to tribunal.

Coaching clinic

Our Coaching Clinic is available for anyone looking for some direction or guidance when it comes to career moves or changes. If you’re finding it difficult to make a huge jump or a smaller step to the side, our incredible coach, Victoria, will dedicate time to supporting you explore and action-plan those important decisions.

The Mental Health Support Line

Discrimination results in 54,000 pregnant women and new mums being pushed out of their jobs each year, with 77% of all working mums experiencing some kind of discrimination in the workplace.

Any woman who has encountered this will attest to the fact that the impact is immense.

That is why we’re over the ruddy moon to announce our new mental health service for pregnant women and mothers who experience discrimination in the workplace, or who are experiencing other mental health issues.

All you need to do is call 0161 222 9879 and select the option to speak to The Mental Health Support Line between 9am and 4pm Monday – Friday
